Reporting to and completing work as directed by the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition, the Manager, Human Resources will have responsibility for transactional activities encompassing, but not limited to, the sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, selecting potential employees, completing reference checks, processing background checks upon acceptance of job offers, onboarding and employee orientation. The Manager, Human Resources will work closely and support the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and the Sr. Administrator, Human Resources. In addition, the Manager, Human Resources will review and submit for approval the various billings for various Employee Benefits, ensuring that all employees have benefit coverage with the appropriate effective date. Ensures employees with qualifying changes are captured in the billings, and any employees that have left the organization are provided with COBRA notifications, and the departing employee’s coverage is reflected appropriately in the benefit billings. The Manger, HR will assist in the management of daily operations within HR. As a member of a maturing HR function and a growing company, the Manager, HR must be comfortable with an ever-changing environment/landscape, demonstrating an ability to manage a variety of tasks that may change day to day. The Manager, HR will take on and assist with other duties associated with TOI, TVL and TCAN’s employee organization, working collaboratively to coordinate activities between departments and outside parties as needed. Work is generally of a critical or highly confidential nature. Assignments may require assisting in various functional areas.


  • Work with hiring managers and the Sr. Administrator, HR, as well as newly hired employees to implement full-life cycle onboarding
  • Partner with benefits provider to audit and process invoices for all external vendors
  • Manage and execute orientation program for new hires by coordinating with HRBP’s and Hiring managers
  • Assist with background check process and execution
  • Continuous communication/updates with departments regarding status of new hires
  • Ongoing communication with candidates regarding status of their interview schedules, start date, orientation, onboarding, etc.
  • General liaison between new hires, pre-start and internal clients
  • Assists in problem solving and resolution
  • Proactively assess and evolve general processes within HR and Talent Acquisition
  • Full life cycle support of all open requisitions which may include but not be limited to; screening, submitting, scheduling, offer preparation/delivery
  • Maintain various reports, documents, processes related to open position statuses and progress
  • Assist and execute new hire office set-up and first week scheduling


Educational Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent in human resources experience


  • Minimum 3 years of experience as HR manager and/or recruiting support with progressive experience and responsibility
  • Experience and willingness to learn internal systems/databases (i.e. iCims, CMS, Background vendor management systems, etc.)
  • Internal and external client support, and comfort being face to face with clients on an as needed basis is strongly preferred
  • Experience executing comprehensive onboarding/orientation life-cycle programs
  • Presenting company programs to groups of employees.
  • Working with external vendors, specifically benefit program providers.
  • Strong MS Word, Power Point and Excel are preferred.
