This position will support the Grant management of Taiho Oncology, Inc., (TOI), including, but not limited to, Independent/ Continuing Medical Education (IME/CME) and Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs). In this role, the Grant Manger will support the Director, Medical Information (IME/CME), Director, Medical Affairs and MSL Lead or Senior National Director, MSLs, and Project Management Lead for the Medical Affairs Department. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for (a) preparing, hosting, and documenting IIT meetings and (b) management of IITs from start-up to study closure. The incumbent will also work cross-functionally to prepare, conduct, and document IME/CME Grant Committee meetings and other Taiho Grant projects as needed. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point person for IITs:
  • Ensure regular updates of the Taiho IIT data base and alliance partners are kept informed about progress on IITs
  • Prepare, facilitate, and document outcomes from IIT review committee
  • Support the Taiho Medical Information Director in the conduct and follow up of IME/CME Taiho Grant review meetings.
  • Work with internal Taiho stakeholders (e.g., Contracting, Finance, and MSLs) and grant submitters to ensure timely processing, tracking, and documentation of relevant trial or grant documents.
  • Support the management of grants budgets. Collaborate with Finance, Medical Affairs Project Management to ensure that payments and invoices are processed and tracked as per standard operating procedures.
  • Lead potential grant process improvement efforts. Collaborate with the Taiho IT department, Medical Affairs, Legal and Compliance to ensure that Taiho’s web-page with regards to IITs and grants is functional, in line with respective regulations, and support Medical objectives.
  • Support the development of monthly Medical Affairs activity reports by providing quality and timely summaries.
  • Work with Medical Affairs Project Management and Finance to reconcile budgets/ forecasts.
  • Prepares periodic reports as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:  

  • BS/BA or equivalent in business, math or science.
  • > 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with IITs, IMEs, budget tracking, and grant management systems
  • Direct experience in working with vendors, agencies, and internal cross functional stakeholders to jointly work on defined programs, including planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience in working on Oncology related projects is preferred.
    • Highly analytical and quality oriented.
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
    • Ability to learn, integrates complex information, and communicates key insights in clear, concise fashion to team members.
    • Ability to understand and implement prioritization of deliverables as well as recognize and highlight conflicts in priorities.
    • A positive attitude, flexibility and a proactive thought process.
