Advanced technology, dedicated investigators, and incomparable facilities—these vast resources empower us to redefine the way the world treats cancer. It’s our work; it’s our passion; it’s our legacy. This position will have primary market research function responsibility for Taiho’s in line products in the United States and Canada.  This includes (1) identification of market research needs, and the development, design, execution and interpretation of market research studies; (2) analysis of syndicated and secondary market data; (3) development of the annual sales forecast for the products and their indications.   

    Responsibilities

    • Participate as an integral member of the Commercial team for in-line products.
    • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales to ensure information needs are identified. 
    • Develop and execute research plans that support the effective creation and execution of business strategies at the various stages in the products’ life cycle.   
    • Manage a budget for products’ market research.
    • Design market research studies that are innovative, insightful, targeted, and cost-effective.
    • Write clear, well-designed Requests for Proposals for market research activities and intelligence programs.
    • Provide concise and actionable marketplace insights and metrics that direct business strategies.
    • Manage effectively third party vendors and external partners.
    • Integrate key market research data into supporting materials such as patient flow models or patient journey.
    • Utilize and manipulate secondary market research databases.
    • Update a sales forecast periodically for in-line products, integrating multiple data sources.
    • Collaborate with peers at Taiho Oncology, Inc. (US), Taiho Canada, and Taiho Pharma Company (Japan) to finalize the US and Canadian sales forecasts for in-line products.
    • Collect and disseminate relevant information on key competitors, including both pipeline and marketed products.

    Qualifications

    Educational Requirements:   

    • BS/BA or equivalent in business, social science, math or science.

     

    Experience: 

    • Oncology therapeutic experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of the diverse business models within the oncology business helpful.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with a full range of marketing research methods for healthcare providers.  
    • Experience with and analysis of secondary data sources (i.e., Ipsos, IntrinsiQ).
    • Ability to develop sales forecasts.
    • Knowledge of U.S. health care market.
    • 5 years of marketing research experience.
    • Demonstrated competencies in creating unique methods for marketing research.
    • Enjoy working in multi-functional teams.
